Dear Parishioners,

The Joint Pastoral Council of the Catholic Community of Saint Bernard and Saint Matthew has been hard at work this past year.  The role of the Pastoral Council is to “support, advise, assist, and consult with the Pastor in building up the body of Christ in our community.”

Father Rick has identified three ways that we all can build up the Body of Christ: through service, spirituality, and evangelization.  The Joint Pastoral Council has been developing short and long-term objectives in these three areas that will offer all parishioners multiple opportunities to grow in and live our faith.  What incredibly challenging, motivating, and important work we all have ahead of us!

Our current work is focused on the creation of a mission statement for the Catholic Community of Saint Bernard and Saint Matthew.  We are very close to a final draft and are eager to share our work with you in the early fall.

Have a wonderful and blessed summer.

Sincerely,

The Joint Pastoral Council of Saint Bernard and Saint Matthew
